Unifor Lol 2200?is set to begin?job action?tomorrow morning, Friday November 1. Bus drivers and maintenance workers for Coast Mountain Bus Company will begin the first phase by refusing to wear uniforms and not working overtime. This has the potential to quickly have an impact on service as the company has been heavily relying on overtime. We will begin to see fewer buses on the road and delays in Seabus service.
How will this affect you?
It depends on where you are coming from and where you are trying to get to. Track?Transit Alerts?for the latest.
What should you do if the transit you use to get to work is disrupted?
Talk to your supervisor right away. Allow for extra time in your travel. Work with co-workers on r pools and other modes?of transportation.
What is Lol 391 doing to help mitigate impact?
We are in conversation with management about how best to support members. We will be?monitoring?the impact on service and how it is affecting your ability to get to work. The employer has committed to ongoing dialogue about adjustments that may be required. For now, the approach is based on the inclement weather guidelines.
